Moonstar followed and leaped down gracefully. She would most very like to see a good view, and if possible, since Lynxpelt has done this very often, the best view. She walked next to him and signalled him to lead with her tail.

He walked through the moonlit trees. "right up here" he mowed pointing to a smooth rock in the center of a feild right below the moon.

Moonstar looked up where Lynxpelt pointed. She walked up to the smooth rock. "It's beautiful." she said again and looked back to see if he was coming.

Lynxpelt caught up with her. "I know I found it a long time ago when I was a kit."

Moonstar looked at the moon again. It glistened in its own light and made the trees glow around them. They made Lynxpelts' eyes saphire blue and hers' light moon blue. The rose in his jaws had a hint of blue as well enchanting it. She wondered why he carried it but asked no question about it.

Moonstar jumped up on the smooth rock next to Lynxpelt and stared at the moon. She heard it wisper her name, here, she-the moon- sounded louder, clearer. But she wispered something more than her name. Moonstar couldn't hear exactly what though. She strained her ears, but she still couldn't hear her wisper. She heard something next to her which was the dew that dripped from Lynxpelt's rose. She looked at him and smiled, then tried to hear what she-the moon-was wispering again.

"You're right. Why do you carry around the rose?" she asked knowing that he already knew she wanted to ask it. She looked at him questionangly.

"It symbolizes love and hope." He purred. He licked his forepaw and gazed at the moon, it seemed really bright, tonight. He meowed again, "I am waiting for the one whom I love to love me too, then I shall give her the rose."

Lynxpelt stopped licking his forepaw and meowed, "You want to go for a walk?" his steady warm blue gaze shifted to her. He remained silent waiting for a responce. He swished his tail.

"Sure." Moonstar said. That was why she was here, wasn't it? She waited for him to get up before getting off the smooth rock. She never saw the moon so close or beautiful than from there. And she never noticed that rock, how? she wondered.
