She mewed, amused suddenly by the kit-like fox. "You seem like a good enough fella. You should... Stick around. I'll see if you can sort of... Join ReedClan. You could be an asset--and I'd train you to be a right proper warrior!"

She purred out her own little laugh. "Wait here," she mewed then turned and went bounding away, taking the fish with her.
She came bounding up, still angry, and clawed at the dirt for a moment before looking at him with firey eyes. "Silverstar says no," she growled and hissed again, continuing to vent her rage upon the unsuspecting grass and dirt.

"its fine" he smiled warm heartedly, "I dont think I would fit in well any way." he smiled. "We can still see eachother right?" he asked worried about looseing his first "friendship" sence he came to the wild about a moon or two ago. Keleb shook his fur and his collar shook and made a clanking noice. He looked at his new friend and saw how pretty her eyes were.

She gave him an odd look, then 'smiled' faintly. "Yeah, sure. We'll see eachother. Just don't let anyone else see you. Stay in no-cat's land--that's the territory that's unclaimed and doesn't smell like any of the clans. You'll find the boundaries easy--you can stay near our border, though. That should be easy. I'll yowl for you." She sat down, pushing away her anger. "Anyway... We've got a while yet before another patrol comes through. Would you like me to teach you something?"

Keleb smiled widely, "Ya, I would love to learn something new!" his tail wagged violently sweeping away the leaves. His blue eyes were pools of pure exitement. "I'll stay near the border" he promiced to his new friend. Her pretty tabby-like fur shone beautifully. He shook his head and thought, "Why was I thinking that."

"Great. Well, I'll teach you the rule that comes first and foremost in all Clans. Even if you can't join ReedClan, why not make you into a warrior?" she meowed, sitting down with her tail curled over her forepaws regally. "They most important law in the Warrior's Code is that the Clan comes first. Your personal live must always come second. For example, even if you're now my friend, if you were to get into a fight with one of our warriors, I'd have to help the warrior drive you away. Well, maybe not--but I wouldn't let him get hurt. Even if you're hungry, you must put your freshkill into the pile and let the elders and kits and queens and leader eat. You're just one cat--er, fox--the Clan comes first." She flicked an ear back, still annoyed at her leader.

Keleb litened intentaly, he scrached a annoying thorn out of his red-orange pelt. "So the clan comes first, got it. Elders and queens eat first, wait what are queens, leader, warriors and elders?" He asked very confused with all these new terms. All this new knowlage comeing in his head at one time was confuseing. "Don't worry I would NEVER hurt any of your friends." he yipped in a reassureing voice.

She purred out a laugh. "Well, I guess I'll teach you our ranks then. They're in our names, too. I'll use my name, to make it easier. When I was first born, my mother decided to call me 'dappled,' which meant I became 'Dappledkit.' When I was six moons--on 'moon' is one of the moon's cycles--I became an apprentice to a warrior. A warrior is a cat who fights for the clan and provides for it. Most cats are warriors. Some cats--one cat per clan, and their apprentice--are 'medicine cats.' They make sure the clan stays healthy. Anyway, when I became an apprentice my name was changed to Dappledpaw. After several moons of training, I underwent a test and the leader of our clan and my mentor--that's the warrior who was training me--decided I was ready to become a warrior. So my name was changed once more to Dappledfoot." She purred, pausing for a moment to let him catch up, then she plunged onwards with a meow. "Now, I'm still young but, when I'm so old that my bones hurt and my fur turns gray, I'll become an elder--if I'm still alive. Often, elders keep their names. But some were maimed or accomplished something enormous so their name is changed when they retire. There's an elder in our clan who I knew when I was a kit. He used to be 'Blackface,' but a badger bit off his tail. Now he's called Badgertail. Now here's a different scenario. Say I become the deputy and then, StarClan forbid, our leader--that's the cat who's at the top rank who leads us--died. I'd become the leader then. My name would, once more, change. This time it would be Dappledstar, though. As a leader, I would have nine lives and have to have shared dreams with StarClan." She mewled happily, though she caught herself and made her expression turn a bit more serious again, though not unpleasantly.

"Starclan?" he asked confused. "Do medicne cats or deputys have special names? What are warrior names useally?" he asked, Keleb was starting to get really interested. The sun shone on his apple red fur. "What do warriors exactly do?" he asked yet another question.

"StarClan is all deceased clan cats of good intention. Maybe there are rogues there too--I wouldn't know, I've never spoken with a StarClan cat. Medicine cats are named by their mentors--but, otherwise, no. Deputies don't have special names, just rank. Warrior names always describe the cat or something the cat has done. I've noticed that the first part of their name is usually something to do with their coloration or markings--Dappled, for example, or Black or Silver--but it can also be something like 'short' or 'long.' It all varies. You'd probably be 'Red' or 'White' for example. Though, since you're a fox we'd probably just call you 'Foxcat.' We're pretty frank. Of course, you could also be something like... Applepelt. Or Whitepaw, or Whitetip." She took a deep breath then finished with, "We warriors do anything the clan needs us to do. Usually that just means fighting any animals that threaten the clan and providing everyone with food, but sometimes we're needed to escort a cat to some place StarClan requires them to go, or... Something like that." She jerked her shoulders in a shrug.

Keleb nodded, swishing his red tail accross the undergrowth. "So what will my name be?" he asked with a questioning look across his face. His small black nose twitched. She is a nice cat, and very helpful, he thought to himself, and very pretty, WHAT?!?! he shook his head, why did I think that?!?

A black fox jumped out of the bush and growled, "KALEB I HAVE FINALY FOUND YOU!" Dappledpelt hissed and soon had the wind knocked out of her by the male fox. Kaleb growled, "THORN LEAVE HER ALONE! WHAT DID YOU DO WITH SHARD?" he asked franticly. Thorn tore at the shecat with his claws beating her dead and then throwing her body aside. Kaleb growled and lept at Thorn and pinned him down. Thorn got up an ran off.
