Skye walked out of the bushes scenting the air every now and then. They were wandering into an unknown place along the forest. There were no scents of any other creatures besides them and the prey. No other foxen, cats, dogs. Any other animal that would desturb them. It seemed like a good place to rest and then continue thier walk. Where they were going, he did not know. But he had to get his group into a comfortable place. Maybe not to stay but to go to every now and then. He looked back to see if the two foxes were following him.

She walked low to the ground, long tail twitching behind her. Her dark eyes flashed from side to side suspiciously, occasionally turning upon her companions with that same unavoidable caution. She was still new to this 'trio,' and refused to fully trust either of them. They had, essentially, saved her from herself in that she was no longer pushing herself to her limits to get away from all life--she no longer had to be so alert while resting at least--but that didn't mean they didn't have something under their paws, a trap ready to spring. Even now they could be leading her to her demise. Even Skye. No, wait, especially Skye. He made her feel strange. He couldn't be good news, right? Her intuition was good--he didn't feel normal to her, in her heart, so he was bad. He was a trickster.
Just like me, she thought with a fleeting, smug smile. But I'm better at my follies. I get what I want. Then again, so does he. Maybe he's even more subtle than I am! No, that's ridiculous. Isn't it? She fluffed up her fur in distaste for that particular thought. Then, giving herself a shake, the caution vixen made herself straighten up and look only guarded. After all, she couldn't have them thinking that she, Moriico, could possibly be afraid!

Lola let out a enormous yawn from her maw, she swiftly scanned the area with her deep amber eyes, "Skye were are we goin anyway?" she yipped running to catch up with them. She fully trusted both of them, the new fox Moriico seemed a little tence and on edge. She started to walk beside Moriico at a steady pace, her three long, snow, white tails were on the ground, leaveing a line behind them. "Are you ok Moriico?" she asked in a calm voice to the newcomer.

Skye, seeing that they were following him, turned around and went on walking but slower. He thought about the question Lola just asked. Where were they going? There wasn't really a place for them, not exactly.
"We're going to find a resting place before continuing walking. I don't have a place in mind though. But this seems like a good resting place." he looked around. Skye scented the air once more. And still there were no scents of animals that could hurt them. The trees glowed green from the sunlight above them, and they had squirrels and birds in them. The hedges could be passed through without getting stuck. The grass was green and hid many birds, including pheasants, that seeked refuge and a place to hide. (if that isn't the same thing). He looked at the two vixens behind him. yes, he thought, this seemed like a good place.

She whuffled at the grass before responding, thinking of all the possible hidden meanings that could be behind Lola's words. Finally, she growled, "I'm fine. Just cautious. Always have to be caution. Anyone can turn on you. Anytime, anywhere, anyone. It'd be stupid of me to just relax and trust everyone and everything so easily, wouldn't it?" She chewed on a weed absently, enjoying the feeling of grinding her teeth against something so pliable. She wasn't hungry; she just wanted to chew on something.
She slowly surveyed their surroundings, seeing as how they were planning on stopping there, then promptly laid down in the tall grasses with a heavy, contented sigh. Her slowly swiveling ears were, for once, the only sign that she hadn't fully relaxed.

She sighed, "As usuall you are being paranoid." she rolled her eyes in a comical manner, "You can be calm around us we will not hurt you." She swished her three tails and yipped, "I'm going to hunt." she walked for a few minutes and saw the colored plumage of a ring necked pheasant. The large plump bird pecking at a burrowing beetle. She crouched and jumped out at the male pheasant, it let out a warning caw that was cut short by a swift killing bite to it's neck, the plump body went limp in her powerful, blood-stained jaws.

"Nice catch." Skye says as he saw a blue jay making a nest in a hedge. He licks his chops and moves his tail slowely as he stalked silently towards his prey. With a silent leap he give the blue jaya bite to the neck as it started taking flight. When his paws first touch the ground the blue jay was dead and lay limp in his jaws. He smiled to himself.
"Here." he walks over to Rii and nudges the blue jay to her. He smiles and walks back to the the spot he cought the bird and waited. Only a while later he came up with a mouse and lay down to eat it a way away from Rii. He waited for Lola before he started eating.

"Yeah, well, it's kept me alive this long, hasn't it?" she grumbled in reply to Lola's paranoia comment. To her surprise, Skye dropped a bluejay in front of her--and, to her annoyance, her stomach started acting up. She laid her head on her forepaws and fought the urge to let out a dismayed whine; she didn't want Lola questioning her. Finally, she stretched out her neck to grab the bird, pulling it closer where she could hold it underneath one paw and chew it up, swallowing the feathers for the most part though, by the time she'd finished, there were quite a few feathers sticking to her.
She sighed then set about cleaning herself.

Lola returned with a huge pheasent half her size held by its' now broken neck. She set the plump bird down and it landed with a thud. "Anybody hungry?" she purred kindly, she was a very talented hunter. She yawned and licked her jaws.

"I'll have some if you don't want the whole thing." Skye said. "You can have some of the mouse." Skye never had pheasant and wanted to try some, but he didn't want to be rude. He was a gentleman like fox. He cut the mouse he cought in half to and gave some to Lola. He started eating the mouse.

She growled absently; she wasn't being aggressive, just... Not-so-charming towards the other vixen. Having finished cleaning, she crawled through the grass until she found a place where they couldn't see her, but she could see them easily. Rolling onto her back, she sighed happily and let the sun warm her stomach. She didn't want them to see her in such a 'submissive' pose, since she was still establishing her place. But the sun felt too nice to pass up...

She yipped kindly, "Sure we can share there is plenty for both of us." she took a bite of the pheasant, "Besides even if we eat it all I saw alot more, they are everywere, I also saw some rabbits."

"Oh." he was proud of the vixen. Skye finished his mouse in two more bites and played around with the bones. Then he took a small bite from the pheasant and buried the bones. He was done eating for a while. He was full and ready to rest in the warm sunlight. Which he did. He found a nice spot and lay down on his side.

Hunger chewed at her gut irritably, but she ignored it for a bit. Apparently, jays don't fill me up any more, she thought with a sigh. Oh well.. That Lola said there were rabbits. I'll just go catch myself one. She rolled over onto her stomach and padded slowly, silently, through the tall grass. She paused to scent, then dropped into a hunter's crouch. Rii shot through the grass and thrust herself atop the rabbit she'd been hunting, jaws closing around it. The sound of bones crunching alerted the other foxes of her kill. She padded back to them, carrying it firmly.
Sitting down, she dropped her prize and looked between the two foxes, silently asking if they wanted any. She couldn't bring herself to say it allowed--but this was progress for the reclusive little fox.

Lola took a last bite of the plup pheasant and left it for later. She walked over into the sun beside Skye and layed down on her side. She yawned full and warm. She felt the warmth on her white pelt.
