He paused to tilt his head back and soak up the sun's rays. Wrathclaw's tail twitch and he purred out his pleasure. He hadn't gotten out of SunClan's territory in too long. There were many times he'd considered becoming a loner, but knew he'd miss the comradeship of being in a clan. He yawned broadly, then continued wading through the thick, lush grass. The grass had grown far taller than even a small child, so it was no wonder that the only sign of his passage was the swaying grass and his scent.
He would have liked to find some good freshkill out in the neutral land, but he was enjoying himself far too much at the moment. His spots showed up nicely in the mid-afternoon sun and his eyes glowed with pride and joy.

Cerry sat in her home, an abandoned barn, not as big as the one east of this one, but roomy enough for one pregnate she-cat. Her home was surrounded by grass a bit shorter than the maze outside of her land. She got out of her hay nest and jumped down off the loft. She landed with a thud on her paws. She shook the pieces of hay woven into her orange pelt and silped out the barn doors.

He surged to his hindpaws, lifting himself up almost over the grass when he stretched out. If I had something to hold onto, I could get higher... he thought, annoying that the only thing around was grass. Ah! A barn! He purred his enthusiasm and dropped back down to all fours to go sauntering off towards the barn. To his surprise, the scents around it smelled like an expectant queen. He mewed, tail waving high in the air as he slipped out of the tall grass and into the shade of the barn where the grass couldn't get quite so tall.

She sented the air, and smelled a mouse about 7 foxlengnths away, she went into a hunter's crouch, her belly a was on the ground, she lept at it and landed on her belly, she yowled in pain, as she hit the dust with a thud. She may have hurt the kits in her belly, she had to hunt to stay helthy and she tryed to stand back up and fell back down hard.

He broke into a run immediately, bounding over to her in record time. He gingerly nosed her cheek and mewed. "Are you alright?" he mewed, deep voice pleasantly melodic with it's high-pitched undertone.

"Ya, i'm fine," she said to this tom, she had never seen before, she tryed to stand up yet again and of corse failed.

He sighed and gingerly gripped her scruff in his powerful jaws, helping to haul her to her feel. You tried to hunt, right?" he meowed, releasing her carefully. "Don't you have a tom around to take care of you? Queens and their kits--they're too precious to be hurt doing something like this!"

"No I don't have a tom, he left me for another cat, I tryed to stop him and he pushed me off the loft" she showed her limp leg, "it is broken and very hard to hunt with."

He sighed and looked around. He trotted over to grab a mouthful of poppy seeds then returned to her, spitting them out at her feet with a numb tongue. He chewed his tongue for a moment, then meowed, "Wait here." Turning again, he went bounding off through the tall grasses, quickly disappearing. Within a few minutes, he came trotting back carrying a rabbit, which he hefted high off the ground so that only its hind feet dragged.

"Thank you." she nodded, "my barn is up there come on." she meowed after eating the poppy seeds. She stood up wobbly on her leg about to fall but quickly gained her balance.

He followed her, tail waving in the air absently; he was alert, but not wary of the queen. He wasn't one to be quick and mistrust people. He set the rabbit down in the hay for her and stood back, taking a seat with his tail curled over his paws, the tip twitching. "Your tom doesn't sound like a very reliable cat. In fact, he sounds like someone I'd gladly cuff," he meowed.

She nodded, "I have'nt eaten in days thankyou," she ate the rabbit hungerly and burried the bones in the hay. "this is the loft were he pushed me off, why do you smell of so many cats?" she asked.

He eyed the loft for a moment, eyes narrowing in annoyance, then he turned gentle gold eyes back on her. They seemed particularly green at the moment, making them seem more friendly. "I'm a clan cat. My name's Wrathclaw; but don't worry, I'm not as mean as my name makes me sound!" He meowed out a sort of laugh.

She purred in laughter, "As I can see" she looked at his eyes they were a beautyful green, she awkwardly turned her head, blushing. She twitched her tail in embarssmet.(if cats can blush)

He purred his own chuckle. "I'm glad you're so certain of it. There are many cats who wouldn't be. How long do you think until you're kits are born?"
